Kilncera, has developed an special tube which is capable of handling repeated heat cycles in very short period of heating and cooling, thus this tube possesses excellent thermal shock resistance characteristics.
Widely used in the application of induction furnaces where ferrous metals in the forms of billets or rods are heated for forging application to protect the metal to come in contact with castable refractory. In conventional design of induction furnace metallic rod passes through the core of copper coil housed in refractory castable. With continuous working this castable starts to degrade and falls on the heated billet surface and sticks to it. This subsequently spoils the die and inclusion on the surface leads to rejection.
